Chair of the Board
Mrs. Gantbolor has graduated from Valparaiso University in 2006 with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration specializing in Finance major and completed her Master’s degree in Banking and Finance at Luxembourg School of Finance in 2008.
She started her career as credit officer for corporate clients at Mongol Post Bank. After completing her Master’s degree she started working at Brown Brother’s Harriman (an American multinational bank) in Luxembourg, specializing in real estate investment funds services and custody.
Mrs. Gantbolor returned to Mongolia in 2010 and started working at Odod LLC. She manages all aspects of Odod LLC’s business development portfolios including property development projects. During her tenure she was also responsible for the establishment of International Technical College (vocational training institute), served as board member of MIG Insurance and Intermed Hospital.
Furthermore, Mrs. Gantbolor served as member of the Advisory Board of American School of Ulaanbaatar for 3 years.
Kate Sutton Jones
Secondary School Principal
Dr. Sutton Jones was appointed as the ASU Secondary School Principal in 2015. She holds a bachelor degree from McGill University and earned her master’s degree from the University of British Columbia. She completed her doctoral research in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment at Walden University.
Since 1998, Dr. Sutton Jones has been involved in International Education in a variety of roles - Teacher, Administrator, Director, Consultant, and Board Member - on five continents. Passionate about the role of education in sustainable development globally, Kate volunteers her time and services with the not for profit organization Education Beyond Borders as chair of the Monitoring & Evaluation Committee. Additionally, Dr. Sutton Jones serves on the Board of the Association of Chinese and Mongolian International School (ACAMIS).
Elementary school Principal
Mr. Dutcher was appointed as the ASU Elementary School Principal in 2013. He holds United States K-12 administrator’s certification from the states of Michigan and Maryland.
He earned a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Troy University, a Master of Human Relations degree from University of Oklahoma, and Bachelor of Science degrees in Social Science and Communication Studies from University of Maryland.
Prior to his arrival at ASU in 2011, he taught in the United States and in the Philippines.
Mr. Dutcher has more than 20 years of experience working and living in international communities. He is pursuing his PhD studies in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on learning and development.
Mrs. Oyunsuren has been appointed as the Managing Director of ASU in 2006. She holds a bachelor degree in economics from Moscow Technological University. Before joining private sector, she worked in public service for 17 years including Ministry of Social Services, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Since 1998, Mrs. Oyunsuren has worked as CEO of multiple private enterprises and Chair of the board of a publicly listed company. She has completed professional development courses in United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
