Curriculum Night

Curriculum Night

ASU hosted Curriculum Night on September 4. Hundreds of parents visited the elementary and secondary school buildings, met teachers and other school staff, saw samples of their child’s work and had the opportunity to ask questions about classroom routines and procedures, teacher expectations, educational goals, and other topics. At the primary school, parents visited classrooms from 6 to 8 pm, where teachers presented information about their curriculum and answered questions from parents. At the secondary school, the evening began at 7 pm with a presentation in the auditorium during which the secondary principal introduced herself and outlined the curriculum before parents went on to the classrooms to meet with their children’s teachers. Curriculum Night, sometimes called Orientation Night, is traditionally held in September and is a way to establish open communication between families and the school and explain school-wide policies and programs.
