Parent Teacher Group
All parents and guardians of ASU are members:
Welcome to the ASU Parent Teacher Group! Every parent is a member of the PTG automatically by having a child in attendance. We rely on the drive and enthusiasm of the parents who are involved with us. There are no fees or dues and we encourage everyone to get involved, either by volunteering or simply attending our activities. A representative of the school administration attends every meeting. Meetings are conducted in English and Mongolian.
Objectives of the PTG:
We strive to foster communication and support among parents, students and teachers of the school in order to:
- Organize activities and events for the parents and teachers
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the school by promoting the involvement of parents and other community members
- Support, encourage and improve the quality of education and wellbeing of the students
Meetings & Activities:
Meetings are held monthly, or more often if special workshops are offered. General meetings include presentation on topics such as programs, policies and school events. Past workshops have included presentations and parent-participation in subjects such as math, computer technology, visual arts, dancing and music. Parents are also invited to our monthly Coffee & Conversation meetings at the library. We aim to create an inviting atmosphere and opportunity to get to know each other.
If you would like to volunteer for any school activities, come to our next PTG meeting or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
