Secondary School Students Cleaned Tuul River in Celebration of Earth Day

Last Friday, April 22, happened to be Earth Day, a day in which people from around the world take part in protecting and preserving our planet. The students and staff from ASU Secondary School made their target a local stretch of the Tuul River, just down the road from the school. The participants cleaned over 100 bags of trash left behind by receding waters and careless visitors. The bags were filled so quickly, more needed to be purchased during the event. The event was part of ASU’s monthly ESSO Fridays (Expected School-wide Student Outcomes), and was organized by the Science and Technology departments to develop involved citizens who demonstrate care and concern for their environment.
