English Language Arts ESSO
On Friday, March 2nd, all secondary school students participated in a Readers Theater House Competition as part of the English Language Art Department's ESSO Day. The activities focused on three of our schools Expected School-wide Student Outcomes (ESSO): being a Critical Thinker, an Involved Citizen, and an Effective Communicator. Our students were actively engaged in improvisational acting activities based on Children's Picture books. Congratulations to Wind House for taking first place with their performance of "The Great Kapok Tree." Water House took second place and Earth House came in third. Congrats to the winners and thanks to all--students and staff--for active engagement!
