Grade 6 Students Performed "The Little Match Girl"

On May 31st in assembly, ASU's Grade 6 students performed a short play based on the story by Hans Christian Andersen The Little Match Girl. The play was dedicated to the International Children's Day and raising awareness about child abuse. This performance was a collaborative effort between the English Language Arts and Dance Departments as well as between Grades 6A and 6B. The story occurs in Russia during winter and focusses on the hardships faced by children of poor families as they struggle to make the ends meet.
