Microscope Practice Lab

Biology 1 students learned the parts of a compound microscope and how to use it to view prepared microscope slides. Students viewed, sketched, and labeled plant, animal, bacteria, and protist specimens that are normally not able to be seen with the naked eye. Next week students will learn to create their own wet mount slides of plant and animal cells to view under the microscope. They will use their slides to identify cell parts and organelles that we are learning about in our Cells Unit of Study.
