SS Assessment
Assessment in Secondary School
Along with formative and summative assessment done by teachers in the classroom, ASU uses Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) and World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) standardized tests.
MAP Growth measures student achievement and growth in Reading, Language Usage and Math and is administered three times a year for all students grades 6-11. MAP Screening is used for admissions for grades 9-12.
WIDA assesses English proficiency levels in speaking, listening, reading and writing. The test is used for admissions and placement for students in grades 6-8
