The Principal of the American School of Ulaanbaatar has been awarded FRIENDSHIP medal by the President of Mongolia
The President of Mongolia Mr. Battulga Khaltmaa has awarded The Nairamdal “Friendship” Medal to Dr. Roger Dutcher, the Principal of American School of Ulaanbaatar, by the Presidential Decree No.104. The Nairamdal (Friendship) Medal is the highest honor bestowed upon a foreigner by the Government of Mongolia. With joint recommendation and endorsement by the ASU, Ministry of Education & Science, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this medal is being awarded to Dr. Dutcher in high recognition of his dedication and hard work to the education sector of Mongolia and for his valuable contribution to advance the friendly relations and cooperation between the United States and Mongolia. During his 10-year tenure at the ASU, Dr. Roger Dutcher served as a teacher and the Principal of the American School of Ulaanbaatar. Previously, this medal has been awarded to numerous prestigious individuals such as Regional Director of WHO, Country Representative of The Asia Foundation, Regional Managing director of ING Bank, and distinguished scientists and diplomats. The medal was presented by Ms. Baigalmaa Gochoosuren, Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the President of Mongolia during the award ceremony which took place at the State Palace on June 18, 2021.
