Welcome to ASU Elementary!

It is exciting to see how ASU has grown since I arrived here more than six years ago. We have grown in our number of classes, adding an additional fifth grade class this year to bring our elementary school to nearly full capacity. We have also increased our resources, integrating more technology into our curriculum while maintaining that same focus on the human factor – that every child is different and has special skills and needs. As such, we have seen growth in our students. They are becoming more creative and critical in their thinking, and they are developing socially by collaborating on challenges, academic and otherwise, and through their everyday interaction inside and outside of the classroom.

Visitors often comment on the vibrancy and vitality of our school, with the sunlight streaming in over the student’s brilliant artwork that adorns the hallways, and the energy our students emanate. ASU Elementary School truly is a fun place to learn. It is also a place where we learn together. We place an important emphasis on collaboration, both for students and staff members, as well as between school and home. Our goal is to give every student every opportunity possible to succeed, and we do that through the dedication of every classroom teacher, as well as the support provided by our ESL and Resource teachers.

I welcome anyone interested in ASU to visit our website and check out the event calendar, photos, and additional information resources, or stop by and check out our school in person. ASU is a great place to learn, to grow, and to “achieve success in an ever changing global society.”
